Re: U.D. pulleys & 160 T-stat G.P.
I'm sorry, I didn't wish to be hostile, or unkind. And I certainly don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. And I don't really need to PM him to ask for his results, they're posted on his website. It's...

Re: U.D. pulleys & 160 T-stat G.P.
Those dyno numbers on the company website should be highly suspect. Randy's magic 405 hp. LT5 now makes 482 hp. (482-15%=409.7rwhp.), with the addition of headers and exhaust, a lightweight flywheel,...

Re: New Track Times
My guess is that it's minimal. Considering that the rotating weight savings gained by installing a lightweight flywheel is probably ten times the weight savings of all those underdrive pulleys.

Re: New Track Times
Actually, I have done that. After I ran the car with headers, no cats, 3" X pipe, and B&B 3" exhaust with no mufflers, I pulled the exhaust off and left open headers. The result, a reduction in trap...

Re: New Track Times
I removed them. You're right, that SS is quite heavy. I pulled the pass. seat and the spare tire too. It allowed me to get my best ever time of 12.06@117mph.(1.76 -60ft.). Not too shabby for a stock...

Re: New Track Times
Yup, weight is definitely a drawback with the Z. If your car weighed what a new C6 ZO6 did, you'd be very close to the tens right now.
As you probably know, Marc H. has a list of gimmicks to drop...

Re: Who does suspension upgades ? drag racing?/
You didn't say what tires you were running, or what suspension setting you use.
You also didn't give a clue as to your launch technique. What RPM are you launching at? Dumping the clutch, or...

Re: Rear Gears
You really can't go wrong listening to Marc Haibeck. I've had 4.10 gears (dana) in my car for over ten years now and I concur with what he said.
To a large extent the decision depends on your...

Re: New Track Times
Pete - Great times, congratulations. That's one hell of a stock block LT5. I've always wondered what the ZR1 could do while keeping the stock block, and displacement.
From your discription of the...

Active Suspension Hood for ZR1
On the Net Registry home page, note the pix of the GM display cars that are going to be at Carlisle this summer. The "Corvette ZR1 Active 1990" has a great C4 hood that I've never seen elsewhere. It...

Re: IPOD install
I'm also interested in knowing if you can directly wire an Ipod to the stock Bose in my 91'.
I tried numerous adaptors in my 03' Suburban, but they didn't sound very good. So I had it directly...
