I spend $250 to save 1.dead wieght 2.rotating weight 3.they are UD pullies If they make 3-5 HP they were worth every penny if not, then 2 out of 3 ain't bad for the money. Also it wasn't a worth while mod to spend $200 for dyno time on an item the costs the same as dyno time. Pete

Wonder what we will do to our ZR-1's in order to take the new ZR1 in 2008?
TT? ![]() At 650+ HP it is not going to be easy to beat this new beast!!! Last edited by WB9MCW; 10-01-2007 at 08:36 PM. |

Bryan nothing, it's a Corvette and a great Corvette at that. But if you had to, a nice 385ci LT5 should do the trick ![]() Bryan will you be able to make it to Byron on the 20th. Pete

Sorry Pete out of town that Sunday the 21st for 4 days--
Do not think I can ditch Mama the day b4 w/o paying the piper so have to pass on this one. I know bring her with to the event -- I'll try but I bet I won't get my way on it. |

I think it's because the ZR1 headers are relatively short, and also because I think the X pipe is really effective at increasing power. The stock motor car seemed to run best with headers, no cats, X pipe and 3" exhaust pipes, no mufflers. And a bonus, the sound was enough to scare the sh*t out of the guys I was running against. ![]() |

Haibeck claims that a light flywheel gains about 15 "dynamic" horsepower, so even when you take the "underdrive" aspect into account I would be surprised if you gained as much as 3 or 4 h.p. with the pulleys. But those little things add up. Witness all of Pete's efforts tweaking the stock block 350. All those small improvements add up to some *** kicking power, instead of just opening your wallet to buy a whole new bottom end with big bore, and a stroker crank. That's why it would be great if Pete would put the car on a diet and tweak the suspension to get those 60ft. times down. A ten second stock block ZR1 would be phenominal. |
