Very interested in how the leather wrap turns out, I've thought about that or some sort of similar approach (headliner material, suede/alcantera etc).
On these up-high places I'm not sure that dynomat will have the desired effect, this type of material is very heavy and its main effect is to damp metal resonance. I'm not sure applying to to plastic will do much other than make it heavier. I think some sort of lightweight foam compressed into the areas you're talking about might do more to alleviate random rattles and buzzes.

BTW, I would give a shout to V2V No Flex chassis braces. It clearly reduced the noise in my interior. Not road noise, but much of the niggling little squeaks and rattles from the chassis flexing. Over RxR crossings, I get just a single ?thud? going over them. Now this is with the targa installed. Well worth the money and time.

I haven?t driven a car with v2v so tough to say. When I had boxed X member installed, it was with the car on the lift. X member had to be loosened and retorqued off the lift to get the targa back on the car. It made a substantial difference especially with the top off.
