I have heard good things about the V2V
I had it installed on my first ZR1 about 30 years ago. OEM X brace is a steel stamping and a bit flimsy. I had a shop in Casselberry, Florida - Corvette Masters - cut a strip of sheet metal and weld it to the open side boxing it in to add strength. And I recall, front have tapped holes on the frame lining up with the X brace but the rear involved a plate with bolt fabricated and welded on to mount the X member. Stiffened the chassis substantially but reduced the clearance a bit.

I haven?t driven a car with v2v so tough to say. When I had boxed X member installed, it was with the car on the lift. X member had to be loosened and retorqued off the lift to get the targa back on the car. It made a substantial difference especially with the top off.
