Anyone changed their injectors themselves?

Not that tough of a job, great advice already on this thread. I popped for the RC injectors and have never regretted it. Do plan to replace injector and fuel rail O-Rings. Understand the large electrical connector under the ear of the plenum is retained with a (I believe) 7mm fastener, nut driver will get it from the rear.

When you are under the Plenum or otherwise wondering what modifications you can do to your ZR1.......

In my signature is a thread covering the modifications of five ZR1s all having the following modifications as a minimum......

it's good to get the dvd and learn the tricks

getting all injectors to seat without pinching o rings can be a challenge

I been farming in South Dakota and keeping a couple ZR1s there running in cold weather 😁😁

I use the ZR1s to get tractor parts quick 😜

Ha ha! Me too--that is, I use my Z06 (and used to use my '95 ZR-1) as my daily driver in the summer. When people at the grocery store ask me about it I tell them I need to get the ice cream home quickly before it melts. --Bob

Hey CRAZEY...So I finished up my injector swap and it's running great. I went from zero experience on a ZR1 to VERY familiar with the engine from this process. As long as you take your time and don't rush it, it's not a difficult job. If you need a hand I'm not far down the road and will be glad to help. This Forum is beyond helpful...an awesome resource!!

Congrats! That?s the way to do it! I have had 3 ZR-1s over 21 years and none of them have been to a mechanic, dealer or shop. Doing all the work yourself is how you learn the car and what to do when stuff happens. Even rebuilt my own LT5 to 520 hp specs in my garage with help of others here.
