Tighten and release. For most builders, this happens anyway as you pre-assemble, hone, measure clearances, and re-assemble. The point is simply to burnish the threads so you get an accurate and consistent stretch using the torque method.

Tighten them several times...not torque them....which makes sense. Thank you
