I wanted Black when shopping for a Z. And I said I'd never have another Red vette.
11 weeks no luck looking in '12; then one showed up F/S 24 miles away 32k on odo. RED  ."I'll paint it Black". Local sprayer said $2,200 (vette tax). I don't like Red, so I got the White GS stripe to take the edge off of the Red ...  Black looks better

Randy - This may sound crazy, but seeing as your brother is a body man, ask him if it's possible to remove the stripe?
If the car was originally red, the red paint is under there. Why not color sand it to remove the white color stripe? I know it might be a real PITA, and time consuming, but you might want to try it first before you commit to a whole new paint job. Just a thought. |
