Default Changing Colors

I have a 91 ZR-1 with a Cory Henderson 368 cubic inch motor. It has been painted torch red with a grand sport white stripe. Seeing how it has already been repainted, several years ago, it was originally bright red, I'm thinking about changing the color to black. What do ya'll think?

I wouldn't, but I'm a mechanic, not a body man. I have no hook-ups in the auto body trade so I have always shied away from those kinds of things. Just repainting it all red would seem to be the safer move.

Yea I should have mentioned my brother owns a body shop and I've had him paint several C4's for me in the past.

I agree with GC, you gotta' do what works for you. The market says, keeping them bone stock doesn't increase the value. Don't save it for someone else. When I went shopping for a 'Vette, it needed to be two things. Black and a stick. I ended up with a black 1990 ZR-1. Boy, ain't it a bitch to keep clean.

Black is one of my favorite colors on a vehicle. I had a nice Black and Silver truck back in the day. Black is the only color that immediately after washing it you can see the crap floating back on top of it to dirty it again. Not a practical color for AZ either.

Yea, I like black also I've got one. I'm usually a red car guy but after I bought this black Z a couple years ago I've fallin in love with black again.

I drive my black Z 1.5 miles on dirt before I hit the asphalt. I wear out California dusters pretty quick.
