Talked with Vette Doctors today.........drum roll please :)

It's for adjusting the speedo after a gear change.....I was shocked!

Clint was right and the best thing about it is they remembered...

Found this black box on my car recently and not sure what it is. I'm going to call Vette Doctors this week as I'm sure they know. The builder, Clint Hooper thinks it is to adjust the speedometer...

The column was pretty easy, you just need some strong thumbs to compress the column lock plate to remove the wire clip holding it in. A helper might be a good idea so they can pry the wire clip out...

I just went through the exact same problem, for the same reason.......two switches, one for the cruise and one for both sets of brake lights. Mine was the switch, $8.00 at Advanced Auto.

Thanks for all the tips Chris! When I talked with Jim, he gave me the suggestion of installing the slave with the line and using an oil can with a hose attached to the bleeder to force the fluid up...
