1993 wheels, what colour are they? - ZR-1 Net Registry Forums

I've got these wheels that were advertised to us as 1993. Now that i get round to having a good look at them, i am certain that they are actually 91-92 wheels.

They are LEFT HAND rears, 11" polished lip, and painted silver everywhere else, yet i was certain the 1993 were machine finished like the 1990 were.

Does anyone have a good detailed picture or a left rear 1993 wheel?

I'm not sure about the ZR-1 but I have had a 92 LT1 and they were painted.
I now have a 93 LT1 and those are machine finished. So I think you are right, something is awry.

According to the pro-team 1993 ZR-1 they had, it would appear the 1993 ZR-1 wheels are machine finished.

So, GM sold me a bill of goods, buggers. They have 1993 part #'s on the inside, but are actually for a 1991 - 1992, at least that's how they were finished paint wise.

100% correct. 1993 is a one year Machine Finish....

1991 and 1992 are painted.

What's interesting about the wheels GM sent me is that they are stamped with the 1993 part # and have a date code of 1994. The 91-93 wheels are the same style, just different finished, it appears that GM painted these wheels silver by mistake rather than machine finish them.

The part number I have on the left rear wheel is 10180883.Early part numbers on the rear wheels are 10137825-10137826.

Out of the wheels they sent me, i have 6 that are painted just like this one listed which are 91-92 & they sent me one 1993 wheel.

They are all LEFT HAND & are all stamped 10180883.

They are all date stamped 1994
