Sitting watching Petite LeMans.....looking through an old Car and Driver. Camparo test between the ZR-1,NSX, Ferrari 348, Lotus Esprit, and the Porsche 911.
Car and Driver noted the times were slow due to the 100+Degree heat. But the cars ran as follows......... NSX 13.8 @ 102, ZR-1 13.4 @109, Ferrari 14.5 @ 99, Lotus 13.5 @ 103 and the 911 14.3 @ 100. But here is were the difference is.....time to 130MPH ZR-1 19.8 NSX 24.9 348 28.9 Lotus 25.3 911 28.5 Of course they loved the NSX because it ran 69MPH through the slalom. ZR1 met or exceeded the NSX in pretty much every category with the exception of slalom, and of course they rated it third behind the NSX and the 911.

Looks like a ported car will run to 130 in about 15 secs.....typical run on a 90 to 130 is about 18.3-.5

Gotta love the chevy!
![]() Hey, all of those cars were 4 valved right? I would bet the Z was heavier and cost the least, too. I think not too shabby for a chevy to be competitive in that group! I wonder what they set the FX3 at for the slalom test?

Good Luck Pete. First 350 ZR-1 in the 10's would be an awesome feat.
