Default Help in IDing 'pneumatic lift jacks'>>>

I have a four post lift on order and now looking for a nifty lift system (allows car to be lifted from four post rails so to remove wheels etc)... basically is a air bag jack..saw them over at the GT40 gathering Glenn invited us to. Need manufacture info/link... of course greatly appreciate any help on this. Have Google/Bing etc and no luck.

I have the 3500 # jack and love it . I was told it is much sturdier than the air bags. The salesman said that unless I have a exact reason for air bags to go with the jack.

I am pleased with the utility that the rolling jack adds to the four-post lift. Tire changes are easy using this setup. I can change my rears to drag radials in about 5 minutes.

During the clutch replacement job I did recently, the rolling jack was used to support the engine, while a scissors jack on the jack bridge supported the transmission. Very easy setup!


Here's another pic of the rolling jack supporting the engine:



The only drawback of the scissors jack I bought is that in the DOWN position it's top is higher than the deck level just enough to catch the air deflector on one of my cars. I plan to put a thin addition to the deck surface to solve that issue.

The jack fits between the decks of the wide version (HD9) of the BendPak lifts. The wide version is the one I recommend, if you have space for it.

I like the scissor jack(am looking at the Direct Lift Pro 3500)... did not think about the front air dam hitting...the ZR-1 has about 4" clearance (bottom of air dam to ground) but my C6 (is lowered) has about 3".

Toyvet1... can the lift pads remove (assume yes) and if removed how much do you gain in reduced height in the down position. These two pics suggest reduction would go from 3 1/2" minimum to 2" minimum>>>





No???

Thus one of the advantages of the 2 bag air jack is that it minimum height is 1 3/4" above the ramp (jack tray is ~4" deep)

I had several critical limitations... width space available in the garage and height of garage door in the open position. Also I wanted one that had gone thru the newer 3rd party certification process (too much garbage out there and did not want to be under a 3000+ lb car with a iffy lift ). What I came up with is the Pro Park 8S (sold by Direct Lifts and Gregg Smith Equipment)>>



8K lb rating and comes with ramps, jack tray, & casters (lift does NOT have to be bolted to concrete).

I you like we can muster up a working party to help set it up.
Jim and I are old hands at putting lift kits together.
All we will need is some cold beer and a cherry picker engine hoist from the local tool rental.

Yes the pads are removable. my 79 has about four inch ground clearance and I can drive over the jack. Ill be outside later and will measure the clearance when go out. Ill try to get pitcure of the 90 on the lift.
