Re: old school rubber
Chuck Taylors! When I was still competing in powerlifting in the mid-late 90s those were the shoe of choice.....rock hard rubber soles were steady for heavy squats 700+ and deadlifting.

Re: old school rubber
I could only bench in the 455-470 range......deadlift and squat were better....here is a pic from PLUSA magazine. I only picked up the weight because I thought there was a sandwhich under it

Re: old school rubber
No Mrs G does not stand to pee!
Actually, I ran into another Illinois crew member from my old powerlifting days, Ernie Lillibridge. Erine lives down in sugar grove and I believe big Ernie was a 500+ bencher and hes got a 92 Z I believe that runs 11s. So add another notch to the Il tally.

Re: old school rubber
Thats a lot of weight, my best was only 510 on the deadlift, that about killed me. THink I was 31 at the time, just dont have the bone structure for super heavy weight.
