Well, they're gone!
Jerked out the secondary throttle blades tonight. I think I bent every one getting them out.
Waiting on parts now! KT

Re: Well, they're gone!
I just removed throttle plates and left everything else in. Tie wrapped secondary vacuum mechanism OPEN.

Re: Well, they're gone!
Dumb question. Am I correct to assume that you need a custom chip to run these open all the time? Seems like the fuel ratios would be all jacked up.

Re: Well, they're gone!
You do need to modify the calibration so secondary injectors
are always on. At closed throttle, they'll be off. VE tables should be revisited also. |

Re: Well, they're gone!
I just never heard of any one "ripping them out." I miss read the OP though and thought he was just going to fire it up. I was being subtle at suggesting the need for a chip. Dumbass me should have read the post more carefully!

Re: Well, they're gone!
What will this do regarding state (NV) emission testing? Seems like the car may run too rich to pass? I have a DRM chip and the car will not pass (too rich) with the power key on FULL POWER (Secondaries open).

Re: Well, they're gone!
John,
Right now, I don't know what it's going to do to the emissions testing. I turn the key off anyway. It won't pass emissions testing in Clark County right now either due to some other issues with over-sized injectors and lack of chip management ( read, I haven't fixed the chip to compensate for the 24# injectors yet) I'll let you know what happens.
