Default Dyno Test

Was at a chevy show with some of the Chicago guys: Dominic, Hans, and Don. Jumped in for a Dyno run, hit 391(the 1hp is important as it sets me apart from the crowd), with a 14:1 fuel ratio. Looks like with all the porting I need a tune. I have to wait for the dyno sheet, but will post when I can. I believe someone also shot a video. It looks like I eeked out over Dominic's 387......but he said he had a headwind on his Dyno run

Looks like there might be a friendly HP war in Chicago......only I need to stay on Dominics good side for the tune help

Had a great time......going to be a good summer. I have a feeling the next track day with some heat and dry weather will be better times for us both.

**Should also mention we met a new ZR-1 owner while we were there.....it was actually a car I looked at a few years back. I believe her name was peggy or penny...Hans can correct me on that. Truly a Z lover interesting to see someone with the same passion and excitement as when I and many others bought our first Z.

Loved her statement; "when you hit the power boost(key) you feel like if it had wings it would fly."

So.... at 15% drive train loss that equates to 460hp at the crank.
at 17% loss it equates to 471 hp at the crank. Not bad, your hours of dremel time are paying off. Now get that AFR under control and maybe you'll pick up a few more ponies. An even 400 hp at the wheels would be about right. That's my goal.

It was clearly an overenthusiastic dyno. BTW, most of that power came because I lent Lee MY carbide bit.

looks like the driver needs to learn how to drive at the track to get consistant

Sorry I did not make it.. I did drive the Z today and am happy to report that it seems reliable enough to drive now.

my car with pretty much the same set up ported inj and plenum rc inj reverse air cleaner with a k&n. jeal headers custom spin tec exhaust with dr gas x pipe ,fidanza flywheel, with ceramic disc clutch, 410 gears , with mt et street drag radial @17lbs . best time of 11.88 @118.62 mph . have since ported the heads. if someone has a fax number i could send a copy of my dyno runs at corey hendersons. dominic has a copy of my prom that i ran in the car then . the afrs were 12.75-8 . my car before corey tuned it but after the porting made 388.rwhp after coreys tune made 409.9. porting the heads really wakes our cars up even more than porting the inj and plenum
