Default 71 Z or not 71 Z that is the question.

This claims to be one of eight LT-1/ZR-1s, shouldn't this being going for tall coin? Or is this a fake. I thought the original Z did not have air.

Man I don't know about this one. The only mod yr that A/C was an option on the LT-1 was late 72....I know that for sure because I owned one. If you checked the A/C box, well that was it & you couldn't have the ZR1 box checked at the same time.

The engine id plate speaks to a 350/350 option....I know you could get those with air...but not too many were ordered that way and that would make it a legit rare optioned car, except I'm not too sure when the 350/350 was disconned.....maybe 70 was the last yr for that option? The hp #'s on the id plates went to net ratings in 71....and that car looks like it could be a 71...or a 70.

It's a shame that GM didn't start putting the motor designation in the VIN #'s till 72.......lots of clone LT-1's are possible.

And BB for SB engine swaps too, I'm told. (But I'm not an NCRS guy anyway)
