Default Any experience with Corvette Central's rebuilt rear diffs?

My Z has developed a tiny rear diff leak that's coming from the cover that's more annoying than a problem. I would really like to get it fixed though. The car currently has 3:73 gears and some of the pricing I am getting to make this repair seems pretty high.

I love the 3:73 gears, but I still cannot really use 6th gear very much at all and I live very close to I-75 here in FL. A set of 4:10's would be ideal.

I found this rebuilt differential on Corvette Central

Anybody have any experience with these? I realize I need new speedo gears, but if this is a straight up swap, I can just about swap out 4:10's for my 3:73's for around the same price. I'm just throwing some ideas around

Should be able to get a 4.10 ring and pinion with a full rebuild/install kit for about $700. A good gear shop would install for $500 or less. The cover leak would be easily fixed as part of the gear install. That would be my recommendation.

You might chat with Marc Haibeck. He and Bob rebuild a lot of differentials, or at least replace the stock 3.45s with 4.10s fairly regularly. Bob does most all of the rear end work. --Bob
