Just finished the 3" system using a magnaflow pre made X-Pipe and 3" pipe from cats back to Flo-Tech 3" mufflers. Sounds deep yet not annoying and reasonable on the hiway. Feels stronger at top end and mid range. Now it's time for top end job!!

Nice! Clean lookin' install!
![]() ![]() What do you think about the dreaded "drone & reverb" at 1600 in 6th? Any bad side effects from your mods to the exhaust sys? Anyway that sure looks sweet under there! Enjoy it Gene! ![]() Tom

I went with the 3" single " big pipe" look out to bumper edge, wanted to clearly state this is not stock! (Old drag racer school of thought) I will post a pic when complete. Sounds real but not unbearable, only side effect it seems to have lost some bottom end because of back pressure. Gene ![]() |

I wish MagnaFlow made a Cat Back for the ZR. I had it on my 84 and really liked the exhaust note. The L98 Mags are 2.5 inlets.

I did the same a while back with a car. Magnaflow's largest was the 2.5" X-pipe at the time. I was pinging them to make a 3"--which they did and I replaced the 2.5". Seemed to lose a little low end. Here is their 2.5" X-pipe with their catback muffler system for the C4 in 3". Ted

Demps/Assassin,
Which mufflers did you buy? The L98 or LT-1? How did you get them to make 3" and are they still available? What did you use for the cat back pipe and Xpipe? |
