Default How Hard to Pull the ECM? Haibeck Chip Install Question.

What's involved in pulling the ECM? I have a Haibeck chip that needs to be reinstalled, and wasn't sure what was involved in getting the ECM out to do so.

Also, when the ex-mechanic installed the Haibeck chip previously, it came loose and rattled around inside the ECM box. Now, it seems to lock in pretty securely, but he had also commented that it was tough to get the chip in. Doesn't make much sense to me as it just clicks in.

Any thoughts?

U need to take off the blue cover from the prom in order for it to fit in the ECM case.

Doesn't really show what's involved in removing the ECM though.

Be sure to remove the negative battery cable before doing any work to the ECM.
