Default Wheel Well Vents

I saw this wheel well venting idea on another ZR-1.
I really like the idea.
Has anyone any information on this? Dimensions?
I hope that there is an article or write up on this idea.

It would let a lot of moisture in the engine compartment when driving in the rain. I don?t believe it would lower the temperature in the engine compartment.

I have used this system from A/O Engineering ( no longer in business).
Three fans about 5in flows 50 cu ft of air each fan. With 3 fans on each side I
can remove about 150 cu in of air out of the engine bay( each side for a total
of 300 cu in)
I also added a switch so i can turn the fans when ever i want. Works great
when stopped as I can turn the fans on before engine reaches 185 deg to cool motor.

Good post. I had forgotten about the A/O kit from back in the day. Would likely prove useful for built motors on hot days. My 368ci was not happy stuck in traffic idling. Heck it gets too hot just idling with AC on in driveway unless I open the hood.

There are several fans like these available on Amazon various diameter and CFM. IP67 rated should do the trick.

Best way to rectify high engine temp is Dewitt or Ron Davis radiator, two Spal fans and high output alternator to supply enough juice for Spal fans. Above combo will solve coolant temp issue. Period!

Already have that. Not enough. Although I'm suspicious of possibly air in the system and needing to bleed it or top off.

I have installed these air vents on all of my C4s. You just make a template of the design you like and epoxy the screen type of your choice. Water does not enter your engine bay while driving in the rain due to air pressure under the hood.

I did this to my ZR-1 back around 2006 with no issues. Last year I did my 92 Z07 and GS. Tools needed are 1. Dremil tool for cutting plastic or like item, 2. Clear epoxy for plastic, 3. Screen type of your liking.

You can feel the heat come out of you wheel wells with hood closed.
