Talking SAMCO HOSE INSTALL

For those that are about ready to install their Samco hoses, I have a tip for you. GET SOME DIELECTRIC GREASE. Put just a little bit on the inside of the hose before you try to put them on. I fought installing the hose on the water pump last night and finally gave up. First thing this morning I used the grease and that puppy slipped right over the outlet on the pump.

I am using the clamps from the Registry and they are slick. I tightened them up by hand as tight as would be prudent and then gave them about a 1/4 of a turn with a ratchet. They really shouldn't come loose.

I did that too. Those things are a real bugger to get on!

Fortunately mine went on pretty easy, just lubed them a slight amount. Now they come back off for some proper clamps.
