Those would make a good template and business opportunity....If the proper tube stock could be obtained and some good welding skills applied... People could send their stock set and Im sure they could be modified to match the SNAT set.

If I could legally get these on my car I?d buy these but as of right now there are no headers for a ZR-1 that are legal in Ca.

How would they know these from GM, these might even be CARB certified, Callaway is a manufacturer so they have to EPA certify

If it was legal in Ca it would have EO then a part number. I did check to see if it had a C.A.R.B number and it doesn?t show up. Just out of curiosity I?ll check with Callaway.

Lee,I got in touch with Callaway and these are in fact exempt from C.A.R.B certification and are egal in California,so I bought them. I?m looking into the BB Fusion cat back system.

Now it gets a little strange. I ran the part number on these and they are GM parts numbers, that might explain the AC logo. It was at one point possible to buy these over the counter.

Congratulations on the find, Jeff!
I never heard of this before.
I thought most companies didn't
pursue CA CARB because of the
time, cost, and AGGRAVATION!
Let us know how different they
sound and perform.
Do you think they perform differently
compared to conventional long tube headers?
