Dang, that is a LOT of power. Even if the prediction for the top model at 1,000hp is wrong by 20%, imagine an 800hp mid-engined vette. Yowza...

With the modern torque reduction technology will never allow all this power to reach the rear wheels.

Typical of the crap journalism you often get in the Internet, the "reporter" who recorded that footage left out one very important part of the story which was in Hagerty's coverage.

The "leaked" document was an internal GM memo advising that all those programs were delayed due to the China Virus hit GM is taking to its bottom line. I suspect all will be delayed by a model year..maybe two. But, even if GM was not delaying those programs anyone who says in mid-2020 that a 2025 model is set in stone is not reporting in a credible manner.

Indeed a 900-1000-hp AWD hybrid C8 was in development, however, development on that has been stopped for the reasons which spawned that memo. Whether or not it gets to production is the question. GM could decide not to go to production with the Zora...for a variety of reasons...
1) It can't make the package work
2) Changing economic conditions degrade the market for such a product.
3) Trump is likely going to get booted out of office and we'll have a "President Biden". If the Senate also flips, with the Democratic Party having moved way left, the "Green New Deal" is going to be front and center. It's possible that 1000-hp Corvettes could end up Corvette hobby wet dream if all that happens. Heck the Corvette might beccome a dual motor EV.

Holy I hope not.

anyway...take that video with a grain-of-salt.

Bite your tongue Marty. Biden doesn?t stand a chance. As Trump once said, he could shoot a person on 5th Avenue and still get elected.[emoji1317]
