Well, it was a small group only (5) of us could make it on such short notice. But, Marc and Susan was there, Dan and Ann, and me. Food was good as usual and we conversed until around 8PM or so before bugging out.
T'waz a good time, and we'll do it again after the holiday crunch. Hope all that couldn't make it can make it then! I was reminded (again) just how important a HEATER can be! It was below freezing last night for the ride home, and I had to drive the 60 miles home with the windows cracked open to keep from fogging up the glass! ![]() A dude in a Camaro(?) tried to goad me into racing him - kept flashing his headlights in my rear view. I didn't know if he was a cop or what, so I kept at the speed limit when he pulled out to pass and nailed it as he roared by. Meh. Save it for the track, buddy! It was good to get out and especially to drive the Z. Both of my hip joint were replaced this summer/fall which kept me from driving - pretty much most all of the season! Looking forward to next season and seeing the rest of the FBI gang again. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving! |

Yep. Leaks. I've done other heater cores before, but this time I'll pay someone to do it that has done several and knows the "do's and don'ts" = NOT learning (and making mistakes) as they go. Gonna be a $grand...but [sigh] it has to be done.

I have done a heater core in a vette.. my 89, prior I did one in an 84 camaro..
I think all cars the first part is the heater core and they design the car around it.. LOL

I remember swapping the heater core on my '85 and due to the dashboard design with the flat top it was pretty easy to swap.

Odds are I'm going to have Marc swap the core in my car.
