Light chime

I’m reading the NCRS judging manual and testing the lights. There is supposed to be a chime when the lights are on and the ignition switch is either off or lock. I did this and no chime. I don’t know if this is tied into the door jamb switch or not since I’m having problems with it. The other thing is when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. Basically the chime isn’t working. I’m checking the fuses to see if one of them is blown. Otherwise, any ideas?

First confirm courtesy lights are on with door open.. if yes, turn on headlights? Does the chime sound? If not, replace the chime. Dash pad has to come off for chime replacement

LOL.. also you can remove the switch without removing the panel. You will need a longer screw to hold the plate in place in the door.. that is how I remove those switches now if needed

Actually, I don’t have to replace the pad. Gordon told me a little trick that they did at the plant. They cut a hole in the area behind the DIC to get access because pulling the pad was such a hassle. I have a hole cut to get to the LTPWS module. The tone generator is next to it.

The stall warning is actually quite violent and accompanied by the stick shaker. You would pee in your pants if you went through it. 😂
