Default 30 grand for a 78 anniv edition Barret Jackson...

I happen to tune in and see it...Fine, it was an L-82 w a 4spd and around 2,000 miles..

To me, the car did not represent that well..Gaps in front bumper, couple of missing center caps It had a lot of paperwork including a CT original title which the commentator raved about .Big woop..They made a lot of these editions, not a ton with the L82 and a 4 speed but come on, $30,000 dollars?

Lot of disposable income at Barrett Jackson northeast...

Auctions are such a sh*t show anymore with their publicity and audience sizes. Just watch what stuff sells for on BAT now vs. two years ago. Stupid, stupid prices.

Saw the car in person, nice car, but not $30k worth of nice....
If GM put stickers, stripes and gaudy paint jobs on the ZR-1, our cars would be worth a lot more today....

Well the couple C3's and late 70's T/A's went soft in the beginning of Fridays auction. No big money for these cars today but it's early. I love my ZR1. I could have bought a 78 T/A that was very much like my first car. I couldn't turn down the Z I bought though. Just think a lot of these cars that go for stupid money you could own if you raced them for pinks. I know I could.

On the other end of the spectrum, in case you missed it, a charity auction was done by Barrett Jackson and GM the same day for the right to own the very last C7 to come off the line in September. Proceeds to benefit a foundation that provides homes for severely disabled veterans. They showed a replica of it, a black/red Z06 coupe. It sold for $2.7 million. --Bob
