Beautiful shots! Love hearing about your adventures in Kiwiland! Too bad one of those pix didn't get into the 2019 calendar...

Re: Went Drag Racing
Hi I new someone would ask good to start with we only had two practices. First round of elimination I came up against the winner from the previous round ( I am racing in the NZDRA national championship points series) driving a 85 C4 automatic he is also running a two step and trans brake the car is fairly standard so is very consistent and hard to beat we line up and stage there was some confusion about my dial in time so my opponent got out of this two step and then had to try and get back into it and managed to red light after the yellow count down and I thought good easy to win this one only problem is he protested and we had to rerun the race dam I thought oh well better make the most of this so redialed in at 13.00 went back out raced my reaction time was .108 and I run a13.3 and losed by .045
I recently fitted metallic linings to my clutch but it's not slipping enough and giving the axles a hard time and as I drive to events I don't want to break a axle so have quietened down on launching my ZR-1 not getting as good a times also Taupo is at a higher altitude than we normally race so you lose .5 off a second because of the altitude. Some of us went to a friends place for new year's eve and we were talking about the day as you do and the topic of the 85 C4 came up as he won the day again and we started counting how many of us he knock out we started at 3 then 4 and finally it was 5 of us so he did well. This coming weekend we are racing at Motueka in the south island Glen Sent from my SM-G960F using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app |
