Default One of the best articles that I have seen lately!

Hi all,

Yesterday I was doing some internet surfing on my phone and came across this article from September 2014. I don't know if anyone has linked this before, but I think it is one of the best articles on the ZR-1 that I have seen in a very long time.

The article comes from a writer "across the pond" and is superbly written.

For anyone with just a glancing eye, the true worth of this article is found after the usual beginnings, where the author gets into true ZR-1 and LT5 history, talking about Lotus, Tony Rudd, and the LT5 inspiration, Lotus' 4 Litre V8, which was destined for their stillborn Etna show car.

That's a really well-written article. Love the descriptive words:

"...Firstly it’s the sound; an old-school V8 growl rounded off and an eerily animal warble, rising as I press the throttle. And it’s the way this Corvette seems to be answering its controls - more eager, more like a Porsche 928 or Ferrari Testarossa.

And like them, the ZR-1 can take an effortless swiftness and turn it into a sudden blaze of dynamic force; drop a gear, foot down.

The ZR-1 bolts forward with express-train relentlessness, the low muted growl of the engine quickly overlaid with a rising cry - part snarl, part wail...."

Thanks for posting.
