Rear diff drain
Any down side to drilling and plugging the rear diff for fluid changes?
Anybody crack one?? Oh the horror. |

Re: Rear diff drain
I used the drill and tap kit from Corvette Central, worked great, no issues.

See item #4 LT5 Added Systems Original Photos provided by Scrrem with Red notes added Thank You Rich It is worthwhile to do if for no other reason you get a complete drain of the original Differential Fluid

Re: Rear diff drain
I wonder why it didn't come with a drain.
I added one via the kit a while back. I don't remember it being easy, but certainly not a big job. The "official" kit comes with a template to help you drill in the right location. |

Re: Rear diff drain
This location of the drain plug is at the Lowest point inside the Differential
