Thanks for the vid. Such an amazing engine... But on the other hand, you can clearly see that engine building technology has not advanced very much in the last 30 years

MM still has a 95 ZR-1 displayed in their museum. It now has one of Lee’s MMR
MAP sensor plaques. |

Thanks for posting. Interesting video, I never new about the Wet Vette Boat.
Pretty impressive speed, 80mph, for a 24 foot boat with 420 HP. ![]() |

Seems to me the boat was crashed several years ago. Don’t recall the details even if it was on the water or the road. Maybe someone’s memory is better than mine. Cheers

My 24ft Challenger powered by 540cu N/A big block dynoed at 690hp 650tq...gets 84mph gps (saltwater). Mercury Racing outdrive, 28° pitch 4-blade Bravo One propeller labbed & tuned. ...deduct another 2 mph for freshwater lake, due to buoyancy loss. Increased prop pitch gains top end, but sacrifices low end. I run a midrange prop. |

Unfortunately, in salt water that LT5 would probably be shot in no time...
Don't think the LT5s are made out of the same aluminum alloy as all them Merc outboards.... |
