Default Digital dash intermittent

My 91 started to encounter digital dash running intermittent with the courtesy lights not coming on during door open mode. Accomplished CCM test 8A-50-2 no faults noted when Digital Cluster was working intermittently. had digital dash overhauled due to erratic tach and lcd maintenance. Cluster and tach op's ck'd good. Accomplished Digital Cluster 8A-82-1 no faults noted. Replaced courtesy relay as a precautionary measure no help noted. Looked @ Grd Distribution 8A-14-9 for Grd 202 found that but unable to locate S230 by following 8A-114-7 flow chart #2. Problem still intermittent which results in no start condition@ times. When I can get it to start with courtesy lights working digital dash will operate for several minutes then blank, shut car off no start condition exists with courtesy lights Inop. when opening doors. Courtesy lights will operate from dash head light switch. Car does have aftermarket stereo and alarm all wiring looks good. At this point in time all suggestions welcome.

Accomplished CCM test 8A-50-8 chart #1 bad CCM. Also removed after market alarm system. Now the fun begins locating a CCM!

You will need to find one with close to the same miles on your car. I doubt there are any new ones out there

I just noticed you are in Maple Park, just a bit west of me

If he wants to keep the mileage the same.. not sure there is any place to re-manufacture them and reset miles any more.. but if the Op does not care on the mileage listed it won't matter

I thought the CCM could be reprogrammed for correct mileage with a Tech1 or2? Am I wrong?

It can from new within the first 100 miles. I don't know or have not heard how it is done when it is serviced. I would assume something is reset when they were remanfactured. but I don't know what that process is..

Never tried to reprogram and already programmed CCM as i don't have a tech1 or 2 and correct cartridge

a few on the forum, but that does not mean it will work. did you get a freshly serviced unit? meaning there is no mileage/No VIN in it?

or did you just buy a used part?
