Finally got my dream car
After a 21 year wait, picked up my dream car yesterday:

Re: Finally got my dream car
I think I know where you picked that car up! I'm from cranberry township myself, hope to run into you!

Congrats.
I live in Sewickley, not too far from you and Kevin. Tell us more about your car. Owner history, mods, miles? You will find the forum a hugely valuable resource with great people willing to help keep your car in top shape. Roger

Seriously though, it's stock as far as I can tell, just has a bunch of little things to fix, which is nice since no heavy duty repairs (other than the A/C which blows hot air very nicely). 46000 miles, new tires, paint is in very good condition. Only excitement so far was she was running really poorly (idle hunting, sputtering and surging at low speeds) when I test drove her and when I picked her up. She flew when I got on her and the secondaries opened up though, so figured either IAC or primary injectors issues. Turns out it was that little hose on the MAP sensor. It was clogged with oil and had popped off. I put her back on and she ran flawlessly. You should've seen the big grin I had on all day after that! Thanks to the several Corvette forums (including this one) I visited over 4 - 5 hours Sat night, I was able to get a good list and troubleshooting plan together. Had it fixed in no time (big sigh of relief too!)! |

Re: Finally got my dream car
Awesome. I sent you a pm here in case you didn't see it. If you need anything don't hesitate to call, email or text. I keep weird hours so you won't be bothering me if you need something late. Without knowing what's done to the car I'd budget for a set of injectors (all 16) and a haibeck chip. The ac probably just needs a recharge which isn't hard at all.
