Default New engine option

https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-n...o-crate-engine

Anyone think it will fit in the engine bay for the ZR1?

"Suggested retail price is $28,995. Exhaust system and engine front drive components such as power steering, alternator, air-conditioner pump, pulleys, belts and related brackets are not included."

The LT5 engine back in the day was $30k, so I don't think their price is that bad honestly.

I paid that for 135Hp less & the last few Hp options like bigger valves were the highest cost/Hp of all.

Very good numbers for a normally aspirated engine.

All new 427 DOHC 32V 775Hp engine @ $37.42/Hp

Modified 350 DOHC 32V 405 Hp to 415 DOHC 32V 640Hp engine @ $45.31/Hp

Add tax , shipping , tune with updated hardware, custom headers & exhaust. Then a clutch, transmission & axle shafts to handle the increased power. That is a dry sump oiling system on that engine so add plumbing. Might as well throw in a minimum 4 point cage because she'll be twisting the night away.

Frank,

It's also missing brackets, alt, A/C etc. However, none of that would be an issue for GM to throw together. However does GM Powertrain still have an
NIH attitude as they did w the LT-5?
