Default '89 Pre-production motor for sale at the CF

Saw this on the CF, surely someone here would want to save a pre-production LT5 (paging Brett, Mr. Brett, please pick up any white telephone...).
He thinks it's a '93 but the plenum says otherwise.
It seems to be in good shape and other than the air horn it all looks to be there.

Default Mint Condition 89 Pre-production LT5

Great Find Crabs

The TB Coolant Pipes are hard lines all the way (Pre-Production) and the Cam Cover Vent Tubes is missing drivers side.
Oil Cap and Air Horn are missing.
PCV Hard Line on Drivers Side is missing (No Ports on Plenum for that line which is Pre-Production).
MAP Bracket looks bent down.
But........Mint Condition Pre-Production LT5 Engine
I am not sure how it is called a 93' when in fact it is Pre-Production?

It is possible he just has a preproduction Plenum and the rest of the motor still could be 1993....

That would explain this "93' LT5" looking like a Pre-Production

The Mercury Marine # would probably be in the era represented by the seller, according to my mini database. 88 pre-production, active ride suspension or 89 model. It is not a production engine for 90 or later.
