Default Replacing DIM DIC

My DIC where the Speedometer is is very dim, not black enough. How hard of a job is it to replace?

If the issue is halogen bulb back lighting the display;

If the issue is display itself;

Also batee.com can service the unit and sells parts for do it youselfers:

I have not replaced bulbs but have removed the cluster to remove the dash top.

Removing the cluster:
* Remove lower panel.
* Remove tilt rod.
* Un-fasten two bolts (13 mm?) fastening the steering column to the dash structure and lower the column.
* Remove two screws on top underside of black dash trim.
* Remove two screws on top of dash trim.
* Remove black trim.
* Remove four 7 mm hex head bolts fastening the cluster to the dash structure.
* Slide the cluster out.
