Vacuum pump not working

Hi,

'91 ZR-1

I just received a vacuum pump from Paul here on the forum. I tested it on a battery to confirm it works. However, when I plug it in the car, it doesn't work. Key on, start, whatever, I just never hear it. I know the pump is working. Is there any fuse I can check?

If Paul sent this pump,it's a good part. I would look at the wire routing and go from there.

Yes it does work, I tested it on a battery. I know the problem isn't the pump. Trying to find in the FSM where is the fuse...

Previous vacuum pump had a lot of water in it so it would make sense that it blew a fuse.

Vacuum pump is a 10AMP IN-LINE fuse over near the grounds etc in the vicinity of the battery on the LH rear wheel-house panel? If you have a FSM it's in the image at 8A-201-8 in book 2.

There it is, thanks a lot! It was blown so I changed it. Vacuum pump is now working.



However, it turns on every 2 seconds or so when key is on. Vacuum leak?

Is that the same location of the Vacuum Pump Fuse for the 1990?

Just inside and to the rear of the Drivers Side Front
Wheel House Panel almost directly below the Brake Cylinders

Yes...you have a vacuum leak

Sure enough that fuse was toast.

It seems it is the same location '90-'91.

Yes it is and as a matter of fact I believe the 8A-201-8 is the same also.
