West Coast Mountain Run
How Many people are interested in doing a west coast mountain run in Aug 2016?
The agenda is going to be meet up in Denver, Drive to Colorado springs (Pike's Peak) Hit a few more mountain ranges on our way to Salt Lake. From Salt Lake to Reno for Hot August nights, drive to Vegas for a day or two. I am going to be working with some transport company's to see how much money they want to transport cars from major city's in the East to Denver, Than from Vegas back to the same major city. It is time to move the party west.

Re: West Coast Mountain Run
Joe, Unfortunately all of us are not retired as of yet. I myself want to hit as many mountain ranges as possible.

Re: West Coast Mountain Run
I've made 42 trips to CO over the last 11 years and spent a lot of time on those mountain roads. But never in the Z. I actually bought my car from Michael in Boulder. I would absolutely be interested.

Re: West Coast Mountain Run
Just thought with the club wanting to involve the west coast cars a run that way might be nice/maybe we could do something like the Hot Rod long haul/you go as far as you like, keep adding and subtracting cars along the way/some tag on for a day then turn around, others go for the entire trip/stops each night at interesting places and locals at stops help with night time events/sponsors might bring some spare parts, trailer for breakdown etc//it is the big 25th/we should think big and add west coast cars//lots of them out there

to hijack this thread, but I have been talking to others about a far west coast drive between south (San Diego?) to north (Seattle?). Last edited by tf95ZR1; 01-22-2015 at 01:39 AM. Reason: Wanted 2 |

Re: West Coast Mountain Run
I'm IN for a SW or Pacific Coast run too! I lived in San Diego for 12 years, and later SW of Denver for 3 years, up in the mountains. I can tell ya there are oooodles (is that a word?) of very nice n twisty mt. roads to explore!
By-the-way... The "why don't you..." question to Robert should be reflected back to you west coast guys. Nothing stopping you SW or PC guys from organizing a cruise(s). Robert and George didn't depend on the Registry to lift a finger with regard to the MR1. 2. and now 3 beyond announcing it on the web site. "Build it and they will come" was the idea. (Now in its 3rd year and about tripling is size for 2015!) So git crackin! We over here on the east half would LOVE to see (and some attend!) a west MR cruise!
