If this should be in the tech section feel free to relocate it. But since I had mentioned my relocated cutouts in a nearby related thread, I thought I would add a note about my switch.
Some of you might recall that I did not like the standard toggle switch supplied by QTP so I mounted a rocker switch hidden under the carpet on the passenger side tunnel. Here are some pictures of that installation in case anyone wants to do this for themselves. First I drew an outline of the exact size hole needed for the switch on an adhesive address label and positioned it on the console where the switch would fit. Then I cut the hole by drilling corner holes and using a single hacksaw blade handle with a small jig saw blade mounted. Then inserted the switch (GAMA Electronics30 AMP DPDT momentary on-off switch #129D-B/B-1; it uses the same spade connectors as the QTP toggle switch). The wiring had already been run to the center console. No one knows its there but it is easy to reach and operate which the other switch was not.
