wet motor
Took my car to have it detailed and specifically told them not to pressure wash the engine, they did anyways. Now it has a misfire in it under power, at idle its fine. The miss isn't constant its intermittent. Any ideas on where to start? Its a 91, and there are no check engine lights on.

Re: wet motor
coil packs, injectors, vac leak, either way sounds like they need to pony up for some parts.

Re: wet motor
pull the spark plug boots to see if there's water in the spark plug holes- that might be all it is.

Inspect each spark plug hole for moisture as mike100 suggests. Leave the plug boots out of the holes for a few hours to dry out just in case.

Re: wet motor
If you have a wet dry vac try to suck out as much of the water as you can. Than change the port to exhaust and blow out the area's under the plenum where you can get the nozzle in the openings.
If you have access to a blow gun and a compressor blow out as much water as you can. Additionally take some small caps and fill them half way up with salt and strategically place them in the engine compartment to absorb the moisture.

Re: wet motor
park it and let it dry.
I have sprayed my motor to clean it before but I also let it sit for a while afterwards.
