If your car doesn't have a chip in it its 650. Mark raises it to 800 if you have a light flywheel. Can you lower it by blipping the throttle ?

no it stayed there all day long....seemed odd to me. I thought this was computer controlled anyway, so I doubt I can have it set lower can I?

See if a vacuum hose came off the back of the plenum.
Common after backfire and will result in high idle. Ted |

Acouple of things to ck. The idle air control valve .take it off and see if that passage is dirty. Do you have a service manual ? if you do i believeit gives youhow to ck the throttle cable. also see if the tps voltage is .54 hope that helps.

I don't have the service manual yet, but I will print this out and take it to my mechanic and have it checked. I'm not a wrencher by any stretch of the imagination LOL
