Interest in Main Bearing studs
Hi, all. I have designed & sourced main bearing studs for the 2-bolt motors. Trying to gauge interest in how many sets to order. I believe these could be sold for $300 or less per set.
Question: at that price, is anyone else interested in a set? Lead time is ~3 weeks. Material is an aerospace grade of EN26 steel. Tensile strength 180k-200k psi. Threads are rolled. They are not ARP. Todd Last edited by tpepmeie; 09-17-2014 at 08:21 PM. Reason: add photos |

Re: Interest in Main Bearing studs
Thanks for sharing Todd.
Any chance they can also do studs for those of the 4 bolt LT5 persuasion?

Re: Interest in Main Bearing studs
I'm sure they would, but I don't have a 4-bolt block to take the measurements. In my case, I needed 2-bolt studs and since they are doing the setup to make them, buying in quantities brings the price down.

Looking at a higher grade material, which would push the price for a set up another $50 or so. Still a remarkable price compared to ARP. I'm going to order 5 sets initially, keeping one for myself. |
