... what the infamous header stud leak is?

There tends to be a leak around the bolts in the manifolds on the factory system, possibly on aftermarket headers too. Not always but from time to time this will happen.

Hey Schrade,
Sounds like you got her about licked. The stud I circled tends to leak. Just tighten two nuts on it against each other so you can remove it. I used some brake clean to clean up the threads and some locktite to seal it. On my car only the right side leaked but I pullled both and seal them while it was apart
