I was playing with my car in the garage the other day. It hasn't been on the road in months since I live in northeast Ohio I just start it every now and then but the other I started it and ran it for a bit and the service ride control light came on and I noticed there's a puddle of fluid on the right side of the car just in front of the wheel well. I'm assuming the two are related as the the fluid is not engine oil, anti freeze, or trans fluid. It would appear to be power steering or brake fluid. Now I'm not sure how the ride control works on these cars and haven't put the car up in the air just yet and was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and if they can guide as to what would be my target point to find this leak.

What about the fluid? Shock oil? The ride control is a motor on top of the shock that adjusts the valving internally in the shock, on the fly. Bilstien rebuilds them, but I have no experiance with them.

If it was shock oil I'd see it coming off the shock. I have a feeling its probably coming from the steering then. I'm going to get the car in the air tonight and I'll update what I find.

right side/pass side in front of tire = coolant or oil cooler hoses or oil pressure sender

Found it! Two leaking hoses running to the oil cooler. Apparently the age and for how long the car was sitting before I bought it have took its toll on some hoses. Looks like a pretty easy fix. Any recommendations on where I can get some good OE hoses and clamps without having to go to a dealer and does anyone know if there's a parts/service manual I can download for this car?

On these zr1's is just the radiator in front of the fans, or is it the radiator and engine oil cooler with the trans oil cooler mounted lower behind all that? Because I have,no diagram to look at and the hoses that appear to be leaking run to some a cooler in front of the fans but if that's just the radiator it won't explain why they are bathed in engine oil.
