Default Need a mechanic in Arizona...

Hello all,

Question, specifically for my Arizona brothers. Anybody know a good mechanic, who cares about our cars, in the Phoenix area? Mesa would be a huge plus! My guy did a great job with my '87 vert, but the LT5 seems to be language he doesn't want to understand, so I'll take my money elsewhere. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Chris

Check with our Cycloptic moderator, "Goldie", he's in the Phoenix area and knows everybody in the general area.
His real name is Darryl, but "Goldie" works just as well.
Tell him "Crabs" sent ya with my blessing and wholehearted support.

Thanks! Spoke with the Doc a couple weeks back. AWESOME guy!! Just too far from me though for general stuff. If it was a motor or trans rebuild or something else major, then definitely. But I need someone close to me who can do the smaller stuff too. Thanks for getting back to me!

Goldie has a guy, Phil, AZMOTORHEAD handle on ACE forum, I met him last weekend on Gila Bend BBQ cruise, nice guy, mechanic for SW Airlines, but he is out on west side even further from you than ZFDOC, are your needs LT5 or C4 related

Actually, no immediate needs, LT5 or otherwise, at this point. I hope to have my car back today after 3 LONG weeks in the shop. Just looking forward to the next time I have a need, as my "current guy" will be my "previous guy" once I have the car back. Definitely, if I had an LT5 need, I'd take it to the Doc. Just looking for someone close to handle more "general" needs, if that makes sense...I don't think Bill has a courtesy shuttle that runs all the way to Mesa!

Thanks for getting back!

Chris , From experience it's worth the trip. My car's go from New York to Chicago on a regular basis. And it's worth the trip.
Good is good. Good Luck.
