REGISTRATION for the Chicago area WANNAGOFAST 1/2 mile run on June 21,22 @ BULT FIELD will open on FEBRUARY 21!

Registration is limited, so you'll want to "camp out" and be ready on the 21st - only 2 weeks from today I'm sure the FBI and surrounding ZR-1 addicts are gonna want to mark your calendars!!

I would suggest the FBI gang register to race on a particular day; perhaps Sunday, June 22. (I just hope to have recovered from the last time by then!! LOL!)

IS THIS THE FIRST SIGN OF SPRING, OR WHAT!?

Our 4 Event Dates and locations for 2014 will be, Chicago 1/2 Mile Shootout, at Bult Field in Monee, IL, 6.21-6.22.14 and 10.11-10.12.14, Texas 1/2 Mile Shootout (at Horseshoe Bay Resort's Private Airport), in Horseshoe Bay, TX, 7.12-7.13.14 and Georgia 1/2 Mile Shootout, at Heaven's Landing Airport in Clayton, GA, September of 2014 (Exact Dates TBA). That's my plan. I think Al will be coming then also. Hoping Kevin and BobG decide to come as well.

Sunday June 22 works too, should we also have perhaps a BBQ or a Pizza nite the Saturday before. It could become quite a nice event/gathering!

I too hope ALL the "BB DOHC" boys can all show up, and that includes Todd's 427 from IN, as well as all our ZR-1 fanatics from WAZOO & ZOOM as well!

Would LOVE to see Todd's car do this. That together w Kevin's MAXIMUS. Al has been tinkering away also.And PETE cannot be a spectator. Any turbo guys wanna bring it? Paul, we should definitely plan for WAR PIZZA or BBQ on the eve of battle.
I'm willing to bet we're gonna see C7s there this year.

June 21 & 22 at Bult Field (same place as last year)
October 11 & 12th

Yeah, fer sher a WAR PIZZA or BBQ. I'd like to do a BBQ/tune event. Maybe Pete could be talked into host it, OR there are several Forest Reserve picnic areas too where we could gather.

C7 "victims????" Jeeze yes! It would be soooo delicious to see some "antique" DOHC 5.7s stuff a few pushrod C7s, wouldn't it???

Paul,

Meant to do that and show how close the ZR-1s came to being in 1st place for the NA category. Kevin's MAXIMUS actually beat out both of these cars for average top speed. Pete was off by 6mph with just a 5.7L, and of course Al had a breakdown w his 441. Kevin thinks that Al's car should go faster than MAXIMUS due to being a manual v auto. BobG wasn't there w his 427.
