A/C programmer
Has anyone replaced the A/C programmer on a '90 ZR1 with C68 air? This is a real challenge.

Re: A/C programmer
I had mine out last week, looking to see if I could find the vacuum connector controller. Not that difficult - you do have to put some outward pressure on the right side dash panel that wraps around and down - CAREFULLY. It's 20+ Y/O plastic, and it gets brittle...
...unless you're referring to finding a head unit?

Had them out many times on my 95 & 96, You have to remove the carped trim and knee bolster, I also take the seat out for easier access to under the dash. The hardest part is removing the push on star clip that holds the vacuum gang plug on. I replace it with a small washer and nut.
What kind of issues are you having? |

Re: A/C programmer
I have it out for repair. Circuit "1996" which is common to the a/c programmer, ac control head and the Bose radio, disabled my Bose radio. I remember a TSB regarding an issue with circuit "1996", (E data link) on "90 corvettes causing wiring changes in newer C4s. I used the Service Manual to find this trouble.

Re: A/C programmer
Yes, I sent it to ASI (Automotive Scientific Inc.)on 12/6/2013, then found complaints on internet regarding their service. They have had it for a month and I am still waiting. On 1/10/2013 I requested a refund since they charged my card $341.87 for the repair on 12/14/2013.

Start a dispute immediately with your Credit Card company. No 'words' on the phone either; words go away when the sound stops, especially since there's no such thing as 'Quality Assurance and Training Purposes', except in the Twilight Zone.
