Default SoCal windshield shop

Hello,

anyone in the Los Angeles/So Cal area who has a trusted windshield shop? My 92 has an original windshield with only the slightest of delamination. wanted to swap it out and store it. Haven't had any luck with good replacement shops so I welcome any recommendations.

thanks

From what I have read, removing it and storing will not stop delam. I am not 100% but even nos windshields have been known to have delamination.

Interesting my Callaway TT sat in the AZ sun for years. I was working on the dist and the windshield shattered from leaning on it.....when they replaced it the glass company pointed out the materials used to laminate the glass rot and get brittle.......sun degrading, air/humidty getting under the layers of glass, and safety material all cause this

To save it you would need to reduce exposure and seal the edges from al air/humidity, etc

I agree 100% and even the best glass people say the windshield is likely to crack when uninstalling the windshield

If its good, keep it in!

You all know your stuff. Mine has very very minor delamination at the very edges but it sounds like its b3st to keep it in until it becomes an issue

I won the "Delamination Award" at the west coast ZR-1 triathlon in 2006!

You should see it now !

Its ready to be replaced just from the pitting after 120K+ miles. I was also considering a windshield polishing system as a way to minimize the obstruction of vision when driving towards the Sun.
