Default pair hubcentric wheel spacers 30mm

New, test fit only, believe to be H&R, bought from TireRack a few years ago. What you see is what I've got. These were not the answer for our setup but maybe you have something you would like to try.

Figuring $60 shipped continental US, obo. PayPal, check, whatever.

Best of the new year to you all,
- Jeff

I can't read the caliper in the 4th snapshot which would be the "wheel bore diameter". The bore of the adapter looks to be GM 70.3 so that would indicate the OD for the wheel bore might be an issue for a GM application using a GM/OE wheel. What is that dimension? You might confirm the 70.3 on the back-side of the adapter also.

Doh - downsizing seems to have hurt legibility - sorry 'bout that.

They do have a "GM" cast in, I'm not at home but will re-measure later.

Thanks/later,
- Jeff

BTW, they appear to be BOTH hub and wheel centric which is an important point.

Hub centric to a GM hub (70.3) but wheel centric to what? That's the dimension I can't make out in the snapshot. The back-side isn't actually dimensioned but if you assume it's a consistent bore throughout the 70.3 holds up. Hub & wheel is important but the wheel-bore dimension is important to someone that's interested. It will certainly make them easier to sell for the OP if he knows for sure. They're quality pieces for sure and there's a slight taper on the hub/back-side similar to an OE wheel. That's not done on all spacers.

If you look at the pics closely you'll see that there is an inner chamfer on the adapter to center it onto the hub. Additionally there is an outer lip on the wheel side. This lip helps center the wheel onto the adapter. So the adapter is now centered onto the hub and the wheel centered onto the adapter maintaining concentricity of each component. The measurement for the wheel centric should be the same as a standard GM hub. It's made to mimic the hub for the wheel.

That's why I ask because these DO NOT appear to "mimic" (your term) a GM spec dimension. If the bore on the face is 70.X+ then there's no way a GM/OE wheel with a bore of 70.3mm will fit over the OD of the adapter. What I mention is "obvious" in the third snapshot. Simple as that! If you've doubts measure the bore of an OE/GM A-mold, saw-blade or what-ever, beyond the taper/chamfer it's a dimension of 70.3 +/- The back-side of the adapter is certainly as you suggest, a duplication of an OE/GM wheel bore. The only other explanation is the vernier is incorrect but I seem to see 80mm +!

That's why I like having access to a Bridgeport and lathe.

Dave,

Please read again what I wrote. I didn't say it mimic'd a GM wheel spec. I said the outer lip mimics the hub for the wheel whatever the dimension is. My initial post in this thread was simply to point out its a hub and wheel centric adapter. Was not trying to vouch for its application to GM wheels. I was assuming that if one measurement was standard GM then the other would also be.

Dom,

I quoted you on your comment.

My post in #5 where I mentioned hub-centric to 70.3mm GM hub but wheel centric to what? That was intended to maybe get the OP/Jeff to respond as to what the intended application was. I went on to substantiate WHY I questioned what I saw in the snap-shots

an example might be a BBS X-lace with an 80mm wheel bore.

You went on to attempt to convince me that I didn't know what I was looking at, chamfers etc. and then commented the "mimic" of the GM hub. Had you just looked at the snap-shots a second time you would have understood my comments. I assumed nothing.

I understand wheel dimensions, adapters, spacers and the differences. If the Vernier was NOT in error I believe my comments are substantiated by the snapshots.

It's really NOT an issue! Happy New Year!!!!

My only intentions in the thread were to make the OP/Jeff aware of what might help him in the sale of the adapters. Nothing more.
