Another road trip to AZ in my 91
I don't know why I entertain the notion that I'm going to keep my 91 a low mileage example when I find myself driving it around so much.
This time it is because my other two cars are not up to the task. The C6 does not have runflats and my nearly new Mustang has the transmission in 4000 pieces at the Ford dealer (for the 4th time). Not to mention I already got the rock chips and general rash already, so why not? In other news: I passed my smog check by a wide margin- the new O2 sensors really helped out, but I'm starting to have bad thoughts about doing headers until the next check rolls around. |

Re: Another road trip to AZ in my 91
Going through the desert always takes a little bit from the car:
drove in rain/ snow, took a rock to the windshield, and put a small scratch on the back loading xmas stuff (buffable). What's another 1000 mi, really? AZ I-8 mile marker 96 or so eastbound. I used to test for V-Max here until I found out AZ has the option to charge for felony reckless endangerment for excessive speeding. The statute of limitations is in effect for now... On the way back, got wet - Coatal Mtn range San Diego Co. 35 degrees and sort of snowing: |

My rule is to visit from November to August. I get cranking north of 95 degrees.
