Re: Weird Mecum Results
It would seem prices are creeping up.
A sign of a recovering economy as well as boding well for our cars.

Re: Weird Mecum Results
I was there...there was 2 92's there...i thought the one with 2k miles on it just looked like it had more than that...must have been in a dusty garage...everything was a little dirty i guess. Awesome cars there tho...i got overwhelmed with fuelies, tri-fives and shelbys...oh my!
Ps I just have to add...Go Warhawks! My Alma-Mater

I always have to chuckle about that. It's part and parcel, the example of the absurdity of what the well-heeled buyers desire. Or so I'm told.

Re: Weird Mecum Results
Uh huh...well i started cleaning the "patina" out of the cracks and crevices of my car the day I bought it. I like showroom fresh...not garage stale...but to each his own i guess.

I also have a set of original 90 MY wheels/tires with the original factory air in them for the discriminating buyer. Yes, to each his own and into my pocket book his own too.

Re: Weird Mecum Results
I was there as well. I'm a potential ZR-1 buyer, and got outbid on the red 94.
There was a black on red 90 that was very nice. 96/100 at NCRS judging in 2011. I had never seen a black/red ZR-1. I agree that prices are strong. Maybe people are listening to Bill Stephens (Velocity TV commentator) that the ZR-1 is the "one to buy" for future collectibility? I, for one, agree with him. |
